Ceiling texture brush:Step 1 – Lay credit card sheeting over all flooring, article of furniture, and cover all doorways to help prevent the spread of dust. This is an extremely dusty and messy project. No matter how much plastic sheeting you lay down or hang in doorways, the dust will still go throughout the house. So, your goal is to contain as much as possible. It is highly recommended that you remove as much furniture and belongings from the work area as potential because they will get dusty.
Step 2 – Fill your pump atomizer with water and spray the ceiling starting with about a 6 x6 area. Let the water penetrate the texture for several mos. NOTE : if the ceiling was painted with a semi-gloss or gloss paint, spraying water on it will not work sense it will not be able to penetrate the texture. In this situation, you will have to dry scrape as much of the grain off as possible and float (or skim coat) the entire ceiling with a drywall mud chemical compound to smooth it out. Readmore…
